Unified Customer Experience
QNX Digital Platform Relaunch with Adobe Experience Manager & Edge Delivery Services
Comwrap Reply helped QNX carve out from BlackBerry.com—launching a standalone, scalable platform built for embedded software leadership.
The Challenge
QNX required a complete modernization of its digital ecosystem to match its position as a global leader in safety-critical embedded software. The existing platform struggled with outdated technology, fragmented content operations, and limited scalability.
Key challenges included managing a multilingual enterprise site, enforcing strict accessibility and compliance, supporting high-performance delivery across global markets, and integrating complex APIs from legacy systems. The platform needed to evolve into a future-ready foundation capable of supporting QNX’s expanding product portfolio and industry growth.
The Scenario
As a division of BlackBerry, QNX powers mission-critical embedded systems in automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, robotics, and defence applications. Their customers rely on QNX for uncompromising safety, reliability, and performance. However, the previous web platform no longer reflected this technical excellence. It lacked modern content workflows, did not meet accessibility and performance benchmarks, and made it difficult to highlight QNX’s innovation, safety credentials, and thought leadership.
The Solution
Building a High-Performance Digital Platform for a Safety-Critical Software Leader
Comwrap Reply designed and implemented a global digital experience platform based on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Edge Delivery Services (EDS)—creating a future-proof foundation aligned with QNX’s brand, product strategy, and developer-centric experience expectations.
The solution delivers speed, scalability, and composability, combining modern architecture with strict compliance and governance requirements.
Key elements of the solution included:
- Adobe Edge Delivery Services (EDS) as Core Architecture
Ultra-fast page rendering, flexible authoring, and global CDN performance—ensuring world-class Lighthouse scores and exceptional responsiveness across all markets. - EDS API Mesh Integration
Unified access to APIs and structured data sources, enabling dynamic content surfaces (product detail pages, industry landing pages, developer documentation). - Modular UX/UI Design System
A new component library built for consistency, accessibility, and brand polish—optimized for engineers, decision-makers, and developers. - Dynamic Media for Next-Gen Asset Delivery
Automated image/video optimization for mission-critical demos, product visualizations, and technical walkthroughs. - Adobe Target for Personalization
Context-aware content variations based on user role (OEM, engineer, developer) and industry vertical (automotive, robotics, medical tech). - Analytics, KPI Framework & Performance Monitoring
Adobe Analytics and continuous Lighthouse testing ensure measurable improvements and ongoing optimization.
The result is a robust, modular, API-driven digital platform aligned with QNX’s long-term vision for unified digital experiences.
Lessons Learned:
Plan EDS early—API Mesh and modern delivery architectures provide enormous flexibility when implemented from the start.
Performance must be continuous—Lighthouse monitoring and iterative optimization were essential to scale global performance.
Modularity accelerates adoption—A component-driven architecture allows QNX teams to iterate quickly while maintaining governance.
How we did it
Comwrap Reply delivered the transformation through an iterative, architecture-first approach, ensuring stability, performance, and rapid business alignment from the first milestone.
Our methodology combined strategy, architecture, and hands-on engineering:
- Foundational Architecture & EDS Enablement
We established a global AEM + EDS platform from the ground up, ensuring multilingual, multi-market scalability and strict accessibility compliance. - API Mesh & Integration Orchestration
Legacy APIs, product data, technical documentation, and industry content were unified behind EDS API Mesh—simplifying complex integrations without overloading AEM. - Design System & Component Engineering
Working closely with QNX teams, we built a new modular component library supporting governed authoring, flexible layouts, and future personalization scenarios. - Performance & Experience Optimization
By adopting EDS best practices, we achieved <100 ms TTFB and Lighthouse scores above 90 across key templates—critical for SEO and enterprise buyer journeys. - Personalization & Data Activation
Adobe Target and Analytics were integrated early to enable role-based and industry-specific user journeys, reflecting QNX’s unique customer groups. - Deployment, QA & Global Rollout
A phased rollout strategy ensured zero downtime while enabling continuous testing, improvement, and alignment with legal, regional, and brand teams.
This approach delivered a modern digital ecosystem, engineered for long-term extensibility and ongoing innovation.
The Results
The relaunch established a high-performance, globally scalable platform that embodies QNX’s technical authority and future direction.
The new experience delivers:
Global Scalability & Future-Readiness
One unified platform for all regions, product lines, and business units, built for rapid expansion.
Outstanding Performance & SEO
Lighthouse scores consistently above 90 enable faster discovery, improved search visibility, and superior user experience.
Compliance & Security by Design
Full adherence to accessibility, privacy, and enterprise-grade security standards.
Personalized, Role-Tailored Experiences
Engineers, OEMs, developers, and business leaders each receive relevant, targeted journeys.
Operational Efficiency
Simplified authoring, reusable components, and API-driven content models drastically reduce time-to-publish.
Together, these outcomes position QNX with a digital presence fully aligned to its leadership in safety-critical and mission-critical systems.
